Being Human Festival – update and sneak peek!

Given the continuing uncertainty caused by Covid-19 (and the fact that our planned venue at Peterborough Cathedral has been turned into a Nightingale Court), we have taken the decision to run our Being Human Festival event digitally. We are sorry not to be able to be in Peterborough and meet people face to face, but we are working closely with the cathedral to reach Peterborough audiences and we welcome the opportunities going digital offers, to reach people who might not have been able to attend in person and to create resources that can be used again and again!

The centrepiece of our event will be the release of the animation King Oswald’s Raven, which tells the comic medieval German legend of Oswald’s talking raven using imagery drawn from the Peterborough Bestiary, now in The Parker Library at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. We’ve been working with talented animator Charlie Minnion and are pleased to share below a preview image from the animation – we hope you like it as much as we do!

To keep up-to-date with our plans keep an eye on the animation page of this website, or follow @Oswalds_Raven on Twitter!
