Being Human Festival Programme Launch

The Being Human Festival programme launched today, 5 October. We’re delighted that King Oswald’s Raven, which uses imagery from Peterborough’s medieval bestiary to tell the comic German legend of Oswald’s sassy pet raven, is part of the UK’s only national festival of the humanities.

From 11:30am on 12 November the animation will be available to watch on Peterborough Cathedral’s website.

Alongside the animation we have prepared a number of short videos. Some explain a bit about the research background to the project and others contain family-friendly creative activities responding to Peterborough’s medieval heritage and the German Oswald legends. We have 6 soft toy ravens to award to the best creative responses (with 3 reserved for children living in PE postcodes) so please do share your poems, stories, pictures and videos with us. Full details of how to do this will be posted on the animation page of this website.
