Conference: Liturgy, Literature & History: Oswald of Northumbria and the Cult of Saints in the High Middle Ages (5-6 August 2021)

This major conference featuring historians, musicologists, literary scholars and architectural historians. It was originally planned to take place at Peterborough Cathedral but due to the pandemic took place on Zoom. The conference proceedings will soon be published by the British Academy.

Being Human Festival (12-22 November 2020)

The short animation ‘King Oswald’s Raven’ developed in collaboration with Charlie Minnion will premiere at Peterborough Cathedral online as part of his year’s Being Human Festival. The animation will be accompanied by a selection of family activity videos and short videos explaining the research background to the project.

Translating & Performing Sanctity: Developing public-facing projects in medieval studies – a graduate workshop (15 Jan 2020)

A workshop for graduate students run by Bowden, Dale & Dr Francesca Brooks (UCL English) took place in the Bloomsbury Studio at UCL in January, supported by UCL’s Performance Lab.
